Anni Szabo was born on January 9, 1989 in Midwest City Oklahoma along with her twin sister, Sara.  Having a sister to always play with encouraged their creativity and imagination. Anni's childhood was full of adventures her and her sister would create. Her fascination with the imaginary world has followed her whole life. When she first heard about the Harry Potter series, she could not stop reading them and grew to become a rather loyal follower even after all the books and movies were completed. Many of her fine fan art drawings are influenced by her favorite Harry Potter scenes and characters. Along with films and TV shows, Anni is also heavily influenced by ancient mythology and old fairy tales.

Anni later went to the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond where she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts with a minor in Art History, in 2015.  She was recognized in several school sponsored exhibitions as an undergrad and was shown at the Istvan Gallery for her senior exhibition.  She combined her love of fairy tales and printmaking to inspire her final undergraduate work. She now lives in the house she grew up in with her husband Jon and daughter Rose.
